Using Eden Energy Medicine, EFT, reiki , crystal therapy and making healthy dietary choices has made massive impacts on my emotional health and after several years of being unable to write poetry my abilities were reawakened. So I’ve decided to make this page for you to read my work and where I think it’s appropriate I will add in links to videos of different lifestyle tips that I think loosely link to the work I’ve made and people that have inspired me over time. I’ve also decided to make Animal Aid my charity of choice so if you would like to donate to them if you’ve been inspired by any of the poems below then please click https://www.animalaid.org.uk

At 30 I had all the answers, but never asked the right questions. Was having fun with trancers, always open to suggestions. An open mind, a closed heart, adapting to society to play my part. Unlike Ben, who we all ken, certainly one of my favourite men. Songwriter, painter friend and ally are his […]

My heart is still racing from the adrenaline shot three weeks ago. When a tiger pounced on other prey and in turn ripped my body apart. My system drove me to fly as far as possible I could have stayed and fought but the battle was lost long ago. And so now I pick up […]

She’s covered in dust. So thick she has to be turned upside down to open her eyes. Her once starched dress now grey and torn. Her tiny red nails chipped, she sits on the end of the bed, untouched, unwanted. Her eyelashes so gummed, she’s unable to cry. Finally broken she lets herself be thrown […]

The serpent lies at the base of the spine Warmed by the three fires of greed, anger and ignorance Unable to push past cold kidneys dowsed in wine She hisses in fear locked in a trance Unaware she’s on her way to dance To meet a snake charmer capable of unlocking her body armor What […]

It’s a lie to state I hold love for everything on my plate, I hold space for everyone’s heavy weights, I have joy for every working date, when facials and hot stones just pay a good rate. As master healer, I daily recite phrases that sometimes resonate trite ‘Just for today I will not worry’ […]

There’s always one son of a gun Who lets out a cheer for vegan beer A smile for a mention of fakin bacon A nod for tofu cod When I praise vegan cheese That doesn’t give youheart disease The other one percent are always pleased The other one percent have my back Four cold hours […]

We were told 3 weeks 21 days at most To look into those eyes To feel that heartbeat To be nibbled on To play hide and seek With one so bold and yet so meek Blood on the floor Doesn’t seem to bother him I wonder maybe I could have done more As the light […]

On the 1st of February I got off the bus at Anniesland and passed by these two beautiful rowan trees that cheered me up and I constructed this poem in my head on the way walking to Yoker. Walking through the remnants of hurricane Gertrude made me very grateful that my body can withstand a lot and I had taken it for granted so much while driving for the past few years and driving past nice aspects of Glasgow like these beautiful trees that I would normally take for granted.

Background
As a member of the SGI International I have joined monthly discussion meetings and for October I was asked to create an entertainment for the end of the meeting and I came up with this. I chant daily to raise my vibration, keep focused and calm and feel more connected to the universal flow of life.

I wrote this one upon coming home from Gran Canaria having really missed my ferret and cat and decided to dedicate a poem to them and all the other pets that have come into my life and passed on.

This was written in December 2015 after doing a lot of Christmas shopping. My partner and I decided to cook my family our first vegan Christmas, so trying to shop and plan for it proved both exciting and difficult. It was particularly disturbing passing by pictures of roast turkeys and chickens having seen their habitats and life conditions earlier in the year. For anyone reading this I would like to say going vegan has been the best change to my life and if you would like more info on how to do it please contact me.

In November 2015 I attended a course on illuminating the radient circuits through myofascial massage. I started writing this on the flight there, excited about what I would learn and was so happy to be back in Dorking making my way to Wooton House where the Eden Energy Medicine Foundations Classes were held. Janie Chandler has a beautiful fiery energy about her making the course very fun, while Kaelin Kelly who was helping facilitate the course was happy to answer all my questions over lunch.

he Writings of Nichiren Daishonin (WND) consist of letters written to his disciples teaching them how to practice chanting Nam Myoho Renge Kyo and how it benefits many aspects of their lives. After 17 years of chanting I feel deeply grateful to the Soka Gakkai for supporting me in my spiritual journey. In particular the Buddhist podcast really helped me understand more and has illuminated many aspects of studying Buddhism. Although it hasn’t been recently updated the concepts are all still very relevant, to listen to google abuddhistpodcast.com.

During a Biodanza class at NonStuff festival we were invited to connect with trees and see if they could talk to us and this is the outcome of a discussion with a beech. I’d definitely advise a regular chat with any tree of choice they are lovely people.

The second poem I wrote as a mini homage to all my clients from whom I’ve learnt so much over the years. I find the interconnection between bodily pain and emotional trauma to be a subject with no end that I love to attempt understanding. As a therapist I feel honored that so many people share what can be a very intimate aspect of themselves with me and often I can feel emotional upset lift as the muscles relax. This poem outlines some common threads I’ve found when working on a wide variety of people.

I wrote this in the run up to Doune the Rabbit Hole to present it at the poetry slam tent and received good responses to it. Working at festivals each summer has been fantastic and I’d advise everyone to go out get into nature and camp as often as possible, get yourself away from screens and connect with your heart. If you can do that with friends, see amazing bands and learn things at workshops and then come see me for a treatment then all the better.

This poem was written after attempting to find a parking space on my way to a mindfullness class. I realized the irony of getting rather riled up over not being able to get to my calm space on time and just took a few deep breaths while constructing the poem in my mind circling the university to find a spot. Just so you can see I’m human too. Here’s a old pic of me at the G8 summit protest using anger for good.

This was written in Gran Canaria connecting with mother earth as the sand molded around my body while reading the Divine Matrix. The book as a whole has hundreds of beautiful nuggets of philosophy on how to perceive the world and is well worth reading. Taking time to connect with Gaia is something I love to do andin Gran Canaria I spent a lot of my time there feeling I was living in a dream come true connecting with the sea.

This was written while my mind wandered before bed and popped into my mind. I often feel like I’m witnessing some kind of romance at the seaside so this was a collection of thoughts on that. One of my teacher’s Madison King occasionally runs beautiful beach retreats that I’d definitely advise checking out.

This was written with my feet dipped into the stream at the Audiosoup Festival this year. It is a wonderful festivals held in Cranshaws Farm where I got to work this year with three lovely guys supporting me and realized my dream of doing Thai massage out in the sunshine.

This one was written after heading to the Bridge of Allen to send off the cows being transported to the Scotbeef factory. We managed to take some footage showing the cows foaming at the mouth obviously transported without any water and it deeply upset me making me decide to get my thoughts out on paper after talking to staff there who judged us as being a nuisance when we were hoping to raise awareness of what these beautiful beings go through. The footage of diary cows heading into Paisley abattoir was so upsetting it’s made several people change their minds about continuing to have dairy while the footage from Ardrossan allows you to hear the squeals coming from pigs being gassed which is at the moment considered the most humane method of slaughter. If you wish to see it go to Save Movement Scotland on Facebook.

I’ve been taking part in the earthlings experience demonstrations over several months now as shown below where people get to see footage of what happens inside UK abattoirs. This poem above is a vocalization of what I’ve felt when listening to this feedback and other conversations with people on the subject. There are usually camera operators and interviewers to get feedback upon what people see and it good to get people’s minds changed as shown in this video.
